I Thought it would be interesting to share some examples of my black and white portrait photography that I use as reference for my digital artwork. The shoots I do usually only take about an hour, and I'll take several hundred photos. Out of that I'll get on average about a dozen photos that I'm happy with, and then out of that dozen only a couple that I'll eventually use as reference for painting.
